Product Description:

The Bosch Rexroth Indramat RKL4420 cable belongs to the RKL Motor Power Cables series and is intended to supply three-phase power and auxiliaries to synchronous or asynchronous motors installed in automated machinery. By combining the motor leads and low-voltage control conductors in one jacket, this product simplifies routing between cabinet and moving axes while retaining the flexibility required for continuous dynamic motion.

Designed for energy-chain environments, the cable withstands 5 Million bending cycles. When fixed, it requires a minimum bend radius of 5 x D, and this limit increases to 7.5 x D during dynamic travel, ensuring copper conductors are not overstressed. The main power bundle uses 4x16.0 mm² cores, giving an overall DC resistance of 1.21 Ohm/km and supporting high current draw over long runs. Despite this cross-section, the outer diameter remains 25.5 mm, allowing entry through standard gland plates. Drag chain suitability is affirmed, and the outer synthetic jacket prevents abrasion while keeping the construction halogen-free to minimise toxic emissions in case of fire.

The mantle is manufactured from PUR, coloured RAL 2003 for unmistakable identification in crowded cable trays. Inside the same sheath, two twisted pairs of 1.5 mm² and two single 1.0 mm² control wires carry brake or sensor signals, and their mutual capacitance is limited to 1.2 nF/m so that drive electronics see stable switching levels. Collectively these features complement the radius and cycle ratings noted earlier, letting the RKL4420 operate reliably in fast-moving gantries, robotics wrists, and other installations where repetitive motion and electrical noise immunity must coexist.
