The RKL4419 motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Designed for servo-axis installations, the cable carries drive output to the motor while accommodating auxiliary sensor conductors, allowing coordinated motion in automated machinery. Its PUR outer jacket resists oils and welding sparks, and the adhesion-free surface simplifies routing in cable chains common to multi-axis systems. It also integrates power leads with two twisted pairs for brake or temperature signals, reducing harness count.
Electrically, the cable is rated for 600 V AC, matching the output level of Rexroth drive inverters. The three power cores use a cross-section of 35.0 mm², keeping voltage drop low over typical machine lengths; this geometry combines with a DC loop resistance of 0.554 Ω/km to limit I²R losses during continuous current draw. A copper-braided and aluminum-laminated construction provides a Total Shield that attenuates high-frequency emissions and guards feedback wiring from conducted noise. Mechanically, an outer diameter of 30.8 mm determines tray space and connector gland selection.
Dynamic service life is confirmed by 5 million guaranteed bending cycles when the cable moves in an energy chain. During operation the flexible section must observe a minimum curvature of 7.5 x D, whereas static cabinet runs permit 5 × D, preventing conductor stress. Continuous movement is supported up to +80 °C conductor temperature, and fixed installations may rise to +90 °C without insulation degradation. The highly visible jacket, coded RAL 2003, simplifies traceability and safety identification, while the adhesion-free PUR sheathing prevents debris buildup. Drag-chain suitability and a 2×(2×1.5 mm²) control-wire bundle complete the design for servo brakes and thermal sensors.
