The RKL4353 motor power cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is a hybrid assembly that carries drive power along with smaller control pairs, providing a single connection between an IndraDrive inverter and its motor in automated production cells. Designed for cable chains and articulated robot axes, the model supports dynamic installation, while its factory-terminated plugs simplify connection within modular conveyor, gantry, or packaging equipment. This arrangement reduces the number of separate cables that must be routed through moving machinery and helps keep power and control conductors organized.
The cable has an outer diameter of 12.2 mm, so trays and glands must accommodate that profile. Inside, three power cores each have a cross-sectional area of 1.5 mm² to limit voltage drop across typical machine lengths. The copper strand resistance is 13.3 Ω/km, which supports thermal loading calculations when multiple axes share a raceway. The conductors are rated for 300/500 V, providing suitable capacity for 230 V or 400 V drive systems. During motion, the cable can flex to a minimum dynamic bending radius of 7.5 × D, permitting compact loops inside energy chains without exceeding the recommended stress limits. A polyurethane jacket resists oils and welding sparks, while its matte surface prevents adhesion to adjacent hoses during repeated movement.
The cable has a service life of 5,000,000 flex cycles when moving installation follows the recommended chain geometry. Stationary installation requires a minimum bending radius of 5 × D to prevent conductor and jacket damage. The PUR sheath maintains its elasticity from -30 °C to 80 °C, enabling operation in refrigerated zones and near warm servo motors. Capacitive loading on the drive output remains low because the line-to-line capacitance is only 0.8 nF/m, supporting fast switching frequencies without excessive reactive current. The factory-installed RLS1101 plug set connects to the motor end, while the cabinet side terminates with a complementary RLS0721 connector. Both ends are preassembled to reduce wiring work during installation and maintain secure connections in dynamic applications.
