The RKL4348 cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is a ready-terminated motor power lead intended for automated machinery, carrying three power phases, brake supply conductors, sensor pairs and a protective-earth path between a drive controller and a servo motor. By combining multiple functions in one jacket, the assembly shortens installation time, reduces wiring errors, and maintains consistent electrical characteristics along dynamic machine axes. Its design supports drag-chain routing in pick-and-place, packaging and general handling stations.

This ready-made assembly uses INK0603 bulk wire and is classified as a power cable variant. It withstands up to 5,000,000 flex cycles, allowing installation in continuously moving drag-chain systems. During operation the conductors may bend to a minimum dynamic radius of 7.5xD; for fixed routing, installers may follow a static radius of 5xD. Each phase conductor and the protective-earth core share a cross-section of 4.0 mm², delivering the current required by standard Rexroth servo motors, while the brake supply is routed through two cores of 2 x 1.5 mm². Foil shielding, a tinned drain wire and a polyurethane outer sheath add abrasion resistance and electromagnetic suppression.

Environmental and connection features round out the cable’s performance profile. Continuous service is permissible up to 80 °C and down to -30 °C, so the lead can operate in both heated control cabinets and unconditioned production areas. The drive-side interface is the keyed RLS1301 plug, whereas the motor end is supplied with ferrules for direct crimp or clamp termination. Two signal lines with a cross-section of 2 x 1.0 mm² carry temperature, brake-release or encoder reference signals without occupying separate harnesses, and the integral earth path ensures low-impedance fault clearing during transient events.
