Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the RKL Motor Power Cables series, which includes the factory-terminated RKL4347 power lead. The product carries three-phase motor current from an Indramat drive to a servo motor, eliminating the need for on-site connector assembly. In industrial automation, using a preassembled cable of this type reduces installation errors, preserves shield continuity, and supports axes that operate under constant flexing inside energy-chain systems.
The cable endures 5,000,000 flex cycles, providing a service life suited to high-duty pick-and-place gantries. When the cable moves, it requires a minimum bend radius of 7.5 × D, while fixed routing permits a tighter bend radius of 5 × D; these limits help prevent conductor deformation. Reliable operation is maintained at temperatures ranging from -30 °C to 80 °C, allowing the assembly to function in refrigerated environments and around warm control cabinets. The cable uses finely stranded copper and PVC insulation to withstand this temperature range without cracking. Unshielded power cores terminate in the series-specific RLS1108 motor connector and RLS1109 drive connector, so no additional ferrules or backshells are needed during installation.
The molded RLS1108 interface on the motor side mates directly with Rexroth MSK and MHD stator housings, while the opposite end carries the keyed RLS1109 plug for drive inverters.
