As a preassembled lead set with matched connectors, it carries drive current and auxiliary signals between an Indramat servo drive and its rotary or linear motor in automated machinery. The cable is designed for continuous-motion applications, where coordinated power and control conductors simplify routing through cable tracks on assembly, packaging, and material-handling lines.
The cable has an outer diameter of 14.8 mm, which determines the required gland size and affects fill ratios in energy chains. Inside, three power cores each have a conductor cross section of 2.5 mm², providing the current capacity required for typical Indramat servo outputs while keeping voltage drop low over moderate lengths. Separate control cores with a cross section of 1.0 mm² carry brake or temperature signals within the same jacket, eliminating the need for a second cable. Line-to-line capacitance is 0.7 nF/m, which influences drive-side filter design because higher capacitance can increase leakage current at high pulse frequencies. The direct-current resistance is 7.98 Ω/km, which limits the permissible cable length before resistive heating and regulation losses exceed drive tolerances.
