The RKL4344 is a preterminated motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It serves as the electrical link between IndraDrive controllers and Rexroth servo motors, carrying three-phase power and auxiliary control signals in automated machinery. Its paired connectors and flexible design support operation in packaging lines, machining centers, and other motion-intensive installations where repeated movement is unavoidable. Factory-installed terminations eliminate the need to attach separate plugs in the field and provide dedicated connections at both ends of the assembly.
During continuous flexing, the assembly can endure up to 5 million bending cycles when it is installed correctly in an energy chain. Stationary installations must maintain a minimum bend radius of 5 × D to avoid excessive stress on the conductors and insulation. With an outside diameter of 25.5 mm, the cable can be routed through standard carrier separators without crowding adjacent lines. Conductor resistance is limited to 1.21 Ω/km at 20 °C, helping reduce voltage drop on long cable runs. The drive side terminates with an RLS0721/K16 connector that locks directly to compatible IndraDrive power terminals. Bulk cable type INK0606 forms the core of the assembly, and its discharge capacity of 1.2 nF/m supports predictable electromagnetic compatibility filter sizing.
At the motor end, an RLS1301/C16 plug seals against the housing and provides a secure electrical connection. During dynamic operation, bends must remain above the recommended 7.5 × D radius to protect the internal conductors as the cable travels through an energy chain. Four power conductors arranged as 4 × 16.0 mm² carry motor current within the main cable body. Paired shielded control cores arranged as 2 × (2 × 1.5 mm²) StC carry brake-release and sensor signals without requiring separate harnesses. The matte, adhesion-free PUR sheath resists oils and coolants encountered around industrial machinery. Its RAL 2003 orange color also makes the cable easier to trace visually along moving axes and through crowded routing areas.
