The RKL4342 is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is supplied as a pre-terminated assembly for routing drive power between controllers and synchronous motors in industrial automation. By combining matched connectors, shielded conductors, and a wear-resistant jacket, the cable streamlines installation and sustains dependable energy transfer in dynamic drag-chain environments.
For motion axes that cycle constantly, the rated service life reaches 5,000,000 bending movements, confirming suitability for high-duty cable carriers. In fixed layouts it can be installed with a minimum bend of 5 x D, while traveling installations must observe 7.5 x D to avoid conductor fatigue. The PUR jacket is adhesion-free and matte, reducing friction and preventing chip adherence. An outer diameter of 30.8 mm allows predictable routing in medium-size energy chains, and copper conductors exhibit a resistance of 0.554 Ohm/km at 20 °C, limiting voltage drop so drive inverters can maintain accurate torque.
The internal layout follows the bulk cable design INK0667, and factory crimps terminate to RLS1301/C35 on the motor side and RLS1302/C35 at the control cabinet. Auxiliary cores for sensors or brakes use a cross-section of 1.5 mm², while the three power phases are sized at 35 mm² to carry rated current without excessive heating. A bright sheath in RAL 2003 (Orange) improves visual identification during maintenance. Combined, these mechanical and electrical characteristics align the RKL4342 with Bosch Rexroth servo axes that require flexible, drag-chain-compatible motor power cabling.
