The RKL4323 is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. The cable serves as the dedicated power link between a Rexroth servo controller and its associated motor within industrial automation equipment. Its mechanical flexibility and stable impedance enable consistent current delivery through dynamic motion paths, including energy chains and robotic systems. Factory-installed terminations also reduce the amount of cable preparation required during installation.
Its three copper conductors each have a cross-sectional area of 6.0 mm², providing suitable current capacity for medium-frame synchronous motors while limiting voltage drop over supported cable lengths. The overall cable diameter is 18.5 mm, which helps determine the appropriate gland plates and cable-chain separators. For static routing, the cable requires a minimum bend radius of 5 × D. In drag chains, a minimum bend radius of 7.5 × D must be maintained to protect the conductors and insulation from excessive mechanical stress. The cable is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, supporting repetitive movement in applications such as pick-and-place axes and gantries.
A loop resistance of 3.30 Ω/km limits resistive heating as current passes through the conductors. The line-to-shield capacitance is 0.8 nF/m, helping control the effects of drive-generated switching transients. The outer sheath is made from PUR, providing resistance to abrasion and cutting oils while using the RAL 2003 orange color associated with power wiring. The controller end uses a keyed RLS0721/K06 connector, while the motor end is fitted with a mating RLS1301/C06 plug. These factory-installed connectors provide secure terminations and simplify routing without requiring field assembly near adjacent cables.
