The RKL4321 is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is intended for connecting servo or spindle motors to their drives in automated machinery, where a matched combination of power conductors, control pairs, and electromagnetic shielding maintains signal integrity and reduces downtime caused by cable fatigue.
The power circuit is laid out as 4x2.5 mm², delivering balanced three-phase power and protective earth over equal copper sections. Separate feedback or brake functions can be wired through the paired control leads specified as 2x(2x0.75 mm²), keeping low-current signals isolated from motor current. Conductors can rise to 80 °C without insulation degradation, allowing the cable to operate inside motor housings or conduit where elevated temperatures are common. For fixed routing, the sheath may be installed around corners down to a radius of 5 x D; in moving cable chains the minimum dynamic radius is 7.5 x D, protecting the copper strands from cyclic stress.
The outer sheath is colored Orange (RAL 2003) for quick identification of power circuits in multi-cable trays, and the material is a rugged PUR compound that resists oils, coolants, and abrasion.
