The RKL4317 is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for use in the RKL Motor Power Cables series. As a ready-made assembly, it links a drive controller to its matching servo motor and carries the three-phase supply together with protective earth and auxiliary cores required for braking or sensor circuits. Within an automation cell, the cable ensures that power reaches the motor terminals with the correct conductor gauge and insulation so that the drive system maintains torque and speed targets without on-site cable fabrication.

This model contains 8 (incl. PE) conductors, allowing three power phases, one earth conductor, and four auxiliary cores to be routed in a single sheath. The three main phases each use a 3 x 6.0 mm² + PE 6.0 mm² cross-section, keeping voltage drop low on long runs and supporting rated current without excess heating. Flexibility in moving cable tracks is defined by a 7.5xD dynamic bending radius, while stationary installation can tighten the loop to a 5xD static radius. Over its life, the jacket and conductor bundle are tested for 5000000 bending cycles, which suits high-duty gantry and robot axes that run continuous motion profiles.

The cable operates reliably up to 80 °C and down to −30 °C, so thermal excursions inside cabinets or on production floors do not compromise insulation or conductor resistance. Termination is simplified by factory-installed connectors: the controller end is fitted with an RLS0721/K06 plug, and the motor end carries an RLS1201/C06 mating connector; this eliminates field crimping errors and shortens commissioning time. Two auxiliary pairs sized at 1.0 mm² and 1.5 mm² support brake release or temperature sensor loops, letting the power and feedback paths share one routed line. When stored or transported, it withstands the same −30 °C to 80 °C temperature window, maintaining mechanical integrity until the installation phase.
