The RKL4310 motor power cable is supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is designed to connect drive units to motors equipped with an RLS1200 flange socket, combining power conductors and control pairs in one flexible assembly for dynamic machine axes in industrial automation. The cable accommodates continuous movement in cable carriers while maintaining signal integrity and delivering power safely between the controller and motor. Its combined conductor arrangement reduces the number of separate cable runs required along moving equipment.
The assembly contains a power bundle of 4 × 2.5 mm² copper cores that carry the three-phase load current and protective ground, while two twisted control pairs support brake or sensor functions at a smaller cross section. A total outside diameter of 14.8 mm determines the required cable gland and drag-chain compartment sizes. The cable uses a total braided shield to limit conducted and radiated electromagnetic interference. In a permanent installation, the cable can be bent to a minimum radius of 5 × D. During continuous movement, the minimum bend radius increases to 7.5 × D to reduce conductor fatigue. The internal insulation and conductor stranding support a maximum conductor temperature of 80 °C, allowing the cable to operate near warm servo motors without exceeding its thermal limit.
The core material and jacket construction support up to 5,000,000 flex cycles in applications that require a long service life. The underlying bulk cable is identified as INK0602. It has a PUR sheath in orange RAL 2003 that is halogen-free, oil-resistant, and resistant to abrasion. These material properties make the cable suitable for machining centers, textile machinery, and packaging lines where lubricants or coolants may contact exposed cabling. Factory-installed RLS1201 and RLS0723 plug connectors connect to the motor and cabinet interfaces, reducing installation time and the risk of incorrect wiring. The flexible jacket also helps the assembly move smoothly through cable carriers during repeated axis travel.
