The RKL4309 motor power cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It supplies three-phase energy and auxiliary signals between drive amplifiers and servo motors, allowing motion axes in automated cells to receive consistent power while keeping sensor pairs within the same harness. The preterminated design reduces wiring time on assembly lines and preserves shield integrity inside machine cabinets.

The cable’s outer diameter measures 14.8 mm, providing a manageable bundle size that fits standard drag-chain separators without crowding adjacent hoses. Each phase conductor has a cross-sectional area of 2.5 mm², matching the current demand of typical Indramat synchronous motors, while the feedback and brake circuits use individual cores with a cross-sectional area of 1.0 mm². A total of 4 control conductors are included, so temperature sensor and holding-brake connections can travel beside the main power conductors without a separate cable loom. Protection against cutting fluids is provided by a PUR outer jacket whose matte, adhesion-free surface allows the cable to slide smoothly along guide rails and resist swelling caused by oil during continuous operation.

Mechanical flexibility is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, making the cable suitable for high-speed gantries and palletizers that cycle millions of strokes per year. Static routing requires a minimum bend radius of 5 × D, while dynamic carriers operating in two or three axes must maintain a larger minimum bend radius of 7.5 × D to avoid conductor fatigue. At the motor end, a keyed RLS1201 connector mates directly with Indramat motor sockets, while its RLS0721 counterpart attaches to the drive side and maintains shielding throughout the cable path.
