The RKL Motor Power Cables series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat includes the RKL0086, a ready-made power cable assembly engineered to link IndraDrive or DIAX servo controllers to synchronous motors. As part of a motion axis, the cable carries three-phase power and protective earth between cabinet-mounted drives and field-mounted motors while accommodating the movement associated with drag-chain routing on automated lines. The conductor and jacket withstand up to 5 million flexing cycles, providing the durability needed for machinery that operates with frequent and repetitive movement.
The core bundle tolerates torsional motion of ±180° per 30 cm, so repeated axis swiveling does not fatigue the copper conductors. When the cable moves in a carrier, it requires a minimum dynamic bend radius of 7.5 × D. Fixed routing permits a minimum bend radius of 5 × D, allowing a tighter path when the cable remains stationary. These limits provide clear routing requirements for cable carriers, machine frames, and enclosed pathways. The cable is supplied as a ready-made assembly, eliminating the need for on-site crimping and helping maintain consistent connector terminations. It supports operation from -30 to +80 °C, enabling cold starts in unheated facilities and operation near warm gearboxes. The sheath compound also resists abrasion caused by repeated travel inside drag chains.
The core geometry is based on the bulk cable designation INK0604, which establishes the conductor cross-section and shielding arrangement used in the assembly. On the controller side, the preinstalled circular connector RLS0749/K06 mates with compatible IndraDrive power terminals and provides a secure electrical connection. The motor end is prepared for the RLK2301 clamp box, allowing rigid screw-clamp termination inside the motor housing while providing the necessary strain relief. This termination arrangement supports orderly routing where a circular motor connector is not used. Cable-end markings follow Bosch Rexroth color and pin conventions, making conductor identification and continuity checks easier without disturbing adjacent motion axes. The completed assembly can be routed through automated production equipment, packaging machinery, transfer systems, and other applications that require flexible motor power delivery.
