The RKL0057 is a flexible motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Designed for servo axes that move continuously inside drag-chain assemblies, the cable links the RLS interface on the motor to matching ports on the drive controller while carrying auxiliary supply lines for brakes or sensors. By combining power transmission and low-voltage services in one shielded bundle, it simplifies wiring in automated production cells and minimizes the required installation space.
The primary power group contains 4 pure-copper conductors, including the protective earth conductor, and each core has a cross-sectional area of 2.5 mm². This arrangement carries three-phase motor power and helps balance magnetic fields while limiting heat buildup during operation. For moving applications, the cable has a minimum dynamic bend radius of 7.5 × D, allowing it to follow repeated motion inside a properly sized drag chain. Its rated service life is 5,000,000 bending cycles, making it suitable for machinery that performs frequent repetitive movements. A durable PUR sheath resists abrasion, cutting fluids, and oil spray while maintaining the flexibility needed for moving cable routes.
For permanent installation, the cable supports a minimum static bend radius of 5 × D, allowing it to be routed through confined areas without placing excessive stress on the conductors. Four auxiliary conductors, each with a cross-sectional area of 1.0 mm², are available for brake release or encoder power. The assembly uses INK0602 as its bulk cable reference, RLS0749/K03 at the controller end, and RLS1108/C03 at the motor housing. Its sheath is colored RAL 2003 orange so it can be distinguished from other cables in mixed-voltage harnesses. The cable supports continuous operation from -30 °C to 80 °C, allowing use in refrigerated areas and near heat-generating machinery while remaining within its permitted operating range.
