The RKL0053 is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. This flexible assembly routes three-phase power and auxiliary control lines between a Rexroth drive module and its associated motor in automated machinery. Its flexible design maintains signal integrity and continuous energy transfer on high-cycle motion axes.
This cable is rated for 5,000,000 dynamic bending cycles, allowing it to tolerate continuous movement in cable chains or robotic systems without excessive conductor fatigue. The underlying bulk cable carries the code INK0653. Its stranded copper conductors have a resistance of 19.5 ohms/km at 20 °C, which limits voltage drop over long cable runs. Four shielded control conductors with a cross-sectional area of 4 × 0.75 mm² share the sheath and can carry signals for brake release or encoder switching functions. The drive end terminates in an RLS0749/K01 connector for direct connection to compatible IndraDrive power interfaces. Separate power conductors with a cross-sectional area of 4 × 1.0 mm² carry the main phase current and protective ground. This conductor arrangement supports motors within the applicable current limit while helping prevent excessive heat buildup.
The outer sheath is halogen-free, which reduces the release of corrosive gases during a fire. The jacket uses RAL 2003 orange to provide clear visibility when the cable is installed in moving machinery. Its adhesion-free, matte PUR jacket resists oil, coolant, and welding sparks while moving smoothly through cable tracks. At the motor end, a keyed RLS1101/C02 plug provides a secure connection without field wiring. The concentric cable geometry keeps the control and power conductors isolated, reducing crosstalk as the cable exits the cabinet. Its flexible jacket and high bending-cycle rating support routing through energy chains used on assembly cells, palletizers, robotic equipment, and gantry loaders. Proper separation of the internal conductors also helps preserve control-signal quality during repetitive machine movement.
