The RKL0048 power lead is supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is a motor power cable intended to deliver three-phase drive output to synchronous or asynchronous motors in automated machinery where the cable is guided by energy chains and subject to repetitive motion. The assembly is factory terminated, so installers can connect drive hardware quickly and maintain polarity and shielding integrity on the production line.

Mechanical life is defined by the cable’s 5,000,000 bending cycles, meaning it can flex this number of times before conductors or insulation show fatigue in typical chain applications. Continuous carrier operation is supported because the design allows drag-chain use. During motion the minimum loop is restricted to a 7.5 × D dynamic bending radius, while stationary routing can tighten to a 5 × D static bending radius. A rugged PUR jacket shields the cores from abrasion, coolant splash, and micro-cracking; internally the conductor set is arranged for low capacitance to minimize drive losses. The variant is classed as a power cable and is supplied in ready-made lengths with over-molded motor and drive connectors.

The cable is not suited for combined bending and torsion, so it should be installed in carriers that restrict rotation. Visual identification in multi-cable trays is easy because the sheath is coded RAL 2003 orange. Exposure to hydraulic oil or cutting fluid will not degrade the polymer thanks to its EN 60811-2-1 and EN 50363-10-2 oil resistance rating.
