The RKL0044 cable is supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series and is intended for routing motor power and auxiliary control lines in automated machinery. By combining four power cores with two smaller control cores inside a single PUR sheathed bundle, it carries both drive output and monitoring signals between the inverter and a servo motor. Its design supports continuous motion in drag-chain systems, allowing installation alongside moving axes without additional protective conduits.

The mechanical duty rating reaches 5,000,000 bending cycles, so the cable remains electrically stable even under long-term reciprocating travel. Fine-strand conductors manufactured to Class 6 (IEC 60228) improve flexibility and reduce internal wire fatigue, while the dual control cores feature a cross-section of 2 × 0.5 mm² for encoder enable or brake release circuits. When the cable is clamped in a fixed position, the minimum bend radius is 50 mm; during continuous motion this limit increases to 75 mm to prevent sheath kinking. A high-visibility orange PUR jacket resists abrasion, oil and coolant splash, and its surface colouring corresponds to RAL 2003 to simplify in-cabinet identification.

The overall outer diameter is only 10.0 mm, keeping drag-chain fill rates low and permitting tight cable trays. Four power cores with a section of 4 × 0.75 mm² supply the motor phases, and both the power and control groups are rated for operation up to 600 V AC. Continuous conductor temperatures may reach 80 °C without degrading the insulation system, allowing the assembly to share enclosures with warm-running drives. Because the PUR sheath is halogen-free, the cable can be used in systems that impose low-smoke requirements while still meeting vibration, chemical and flex-life demands.
