The RKL0041 motor power cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Designed for dynamic machine axes, the assembly delivers drive output from the power module to a Rexroth servo motor while carrying feedback-related control conductors in the same sheath. The cable supports continuous motion in energy chains, so it combines finely stranded copper cores, a pressure-extruded outer jacket, and matched circular connectors to maintain signal integrity and strain relief throughout repetitive bending cycles in industrial automation. This arrangement allows power and auxiliary signals to follow the same routing path through moving equipment without requiring separate cable runs.
A fixed installation must maintain a minimum bend radius of 5 × D, while a flexing installation must maintain a minimum bend radius of 7.5 × D to avoid conductor fatigue. The overall diameter of 22.2 mm determines the required gland size and cable-chain channel width. The power conductors use copper cores with a cross-sectional area of 10.0 mm² to carry motor phase current. Separate control cores have a cross-sectional area of 1.0 mm² for enable, brake, or sensor lines. The assembly uses INK0605 bulk cable, providing consistent attenuation and shielding characteristics throughout its length. These conductor groups are contained within one sheath to simplify routing through compact energy-chain compartments.
The motor end uses an RLK3101/K10 connector, while the controller end terminates in an RLS0721/K10 plug for connection to compatible Rexroth drive equipment. The phase conductors may be energized up to 300/500 V, whereas the auxiliary pairs are limited to 300/300 V for control circuits. The halogen-free outer jacket is made from PUR and is colored RAL 2003 orange for visibility on the plant floor. The jacket also resists cutting oils encountered around industrial machinery and automated production equipment. Continuous conductor temperature may reach 90 °C without degrading the insulation. The combination of oil resistance, halogen-free material, and high allowable conductor temperature supports installation in demanding moving-axis applications.
