The RKL0023 motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is supplied as a factory-terminated lead that carries three-phase output from a drive to a servo motor and provides a protective ground connection, forming a low-impedance link inside automated machinery. Its matched conductors and keyed circular connectors simplify installation while preserving shield continuity. The cable also helps maintain electromagnetic compatibility on high-speed production lines where motor power wiring may be exposed to vibration and repetitive movement.
The cable has a mechanical service life of 5,000,000 flexing cycles, allowing it to withstand repetitive motion in cable tracks without premature conductor fatigue. During dynamic movement, the minimum bend radius is 7.5 × D, where D represents the cable diameter. Fixed routing permits a smaller bend radius of 5 × D. Maintaining these radii helps prevent insulation cracking and unnecessary stress on the internal conductors. The drive-side termination uses a shielded RLS1301 connector with a quarter-turn bayonet lock that helps maintain phase continuity under vibration. Continuous operation is permitted from -30 to +80 °C, allowing the cable to function in cold rooms, process lines, and warm control cabinets without jacket or dielectric derating.
The cable is delivered in the Basic configuration and is classified as a ready-made harness, so neither end requires field crimping or potting. It is intended for motor power transmission, with conductor cross sections and shielding selected for motor current rather than feedback or input and output signals. The motor-side interface uses an RLS0747 plug that mates directly with compatible Indramat servo motor housings, eliminating the need for adapter hardware. Because the connectors are installed before delivery, the complete assembly can be routed through the machine without preparing individual contacts. Its factory-terminated construction also helps preserve consistent shielding between the drive and motor connections during repeated cable movement.
