The RKL0018 cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is a molded power lead that links the drive controller to the stator terminals of compatible Indramat servo motors, carrying phase current and protective earth through drag-chain or stationary routes. Its mechanical flexibility and industrial temperature range support cabinet-to-axis wiring in packaging machines, handling gantries, and other automated assemblies. The molded design also keeps the cable ends securely connected during repeated machine movement.
Mechanical endurance is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles when the cable moves inside an energy chain. During motion, the minimum bend radius is 7.5 × D, so the cable must follow a loop with a radius of at least seven and a half times its outer diameter to reduce conductor fatigue. Stationary routing permits a minimum bend radius of 5 × D. The conductor set is manufactured from INK0602 bulk cable, which provides abrasion resistance and consistent dielectric strength during repeated flexing. A protective earth core with the GNYE color code allows the grounding conductor to be distinguished from the power conductors. This conductor arrangement supports safe routing while preserving the flexibility needed for moving axes.
The connection hardware is preassembled, with the controller end terminating in a keyed RLS0746/K03 plug. The motor end uses an RLS1201/C04 bayonet coupling for quick engagement with compatible IP-rated motor housings. The copper strands and insulation remain serviceable from -30 °C to 80 °C, covering a broad range of industrial operating conditions without derating. The same temperature range applies during storage, allowing the cable to remain in unheated warehouses or near switchgear without damage. Its small permissible bend radii make it suitable for confined cable carriers and stationary runs with limited routing space. The preassembled connectors reduce the need for field termination and help maintain consistent contact at both ends of the cable.
