The Bosch Rexroth Indramat RKL0008 is a flexible motor power cable supplied under the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Designed to link servo drives to moving axes, the assembly carries power and auxiliary signals between an IndraDrive controller and the associated servomotor in automated machinery. Its flexible design and electrical capacity support reliable energy transfer during the repetitive motion cycles found in gantries, pick-and-place units, and packaging lines.
The cable contains three power cores, each with a cross-sectional area of 1.5 mm², providing sufficient copper capacity for typical low-to-medium-frame motors while limiting voltage drop over moderate distances. A separate pair with a cross-sectional area of 0.75 mm² supports brake-release or encoder-supply functions. For fixed routing inside enclosures, the cable tolerates a minimum bend radius of 5 × D, where D represents its outside diameter. When installed in a cable chain, the required minimum bend radius increases to 7.5 × D, reducing strain on the conductors during repeated flexing. The cable also supports reciprocating movement with acceleration up to 10 m/s². Following these routing and acceleration limits helps prevent excessive mechanical stress on the conductors and insulation during operation.
The outer sheath is made of PUR, a polyurethane material that protects the conductor bundle from exposure to coolants and oils.
