The RKL0001 cable is a factory-assembled power lead produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It links an IndraDrive controller to a synchronous servo motor, routing three-phase supply and auxiliary control signals inside one jacketed assembly. By combining power and low-voltage cores, the product simplifies wiring in automated machinery and minimizes panel space compared with separate cable runs. Its mechanical design matches the environmental and electrical demands encountered in conveyor, packaging, and handling cells.
The cable’s nominal outer diameter is 12.0 mm, allowing routing through standard drag-chain carriers without excessive bend stresses. Four power conductors each have a cross-section of 4x1.0 mm², providing balanced phase loading for motors in the lower kilowatt range. For encoder supply and temperature sensors the design integrates two shielded twisted pairs with a combined cross-section of 2x(2x0.75 mm²), keeping feedback noise low. Continuous duty in fixed installation can be maintained up to 90 °C at the conductor, while dynamic flexing applications are limited to a conductor temperature of 80 °C. These thermal limits define derating curves for high-current cycles.
As part of the RKL series it is made from INK0653 bulk cable, which governs insulation material and shielding structure. On the control-cabinet side it terminates in the standardized connection set RLS0721, enabling plug-and-play attachment to Rexroth drive modules. Motor termination is handled by the compact angled connector INS0542, locking to the motor housing with a bayonet ring to preserve strain relief. The halogen-free jacket is coloured Orange (RAL 2003) for clear differentiation from signal lines and to meet machine safety coding during installation and maintenance.
