The RKH0903 hybrid cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKH Hybrid Cables series. It combines power conductors and signal pairs within a single sheath, allowing servo drives to connect motors and sensors while reducing the amount of cabinet routing required. In automated machinery, the cable serves as a preassembled interconnect that shortens installation time and maintains electrical compatibility across associated motion platforms. The assembly is intended for dynamic cable chains and other moving energy-supply systems where repeated flexing occurs during normal machine operation.
The cable has a Basic mechanical design and uses a hybrid construction, with power and control cores contained in the same outer jacket. Its factory-terminated length is 5.0 m, making it suitable for short to medium axis distances without leaving excessive slack inside the machine. Under continuous motion, the cable withstands 5,000,000 bending cycles when the dynamic cable-chain radius is maintained at 10 × D or greater. Stationary routing permits a minimum bend radius of 5 × D without compressing the internal insulation. These routing requirements support installation in pick-and-place gantries, linear modules, palletizers, and other machinery that places the cable under repetitive movement.
Factory-crimped connectors simplify installation and eliminate the need for field termination. The drive side uses an RHS0005 plug, while the motor side connects through an RHS2321 receptacle. This connector arrangement helps preserve shielding continuity across the cable assembly and provides secure attachment at both ends. Operation and storage are permitted at temperatures from -40 °C to 80 °C, allowing the cable to be used in cold-storage facilities and heated production cells. The broad temperature range also allows on-site storage without a climate-controlled cabinet, provided all other handling and routing requirements are observed.
