The RKH0801 hybrid cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the RKH Hybrid Cables series. This preassembled flexible cable is intended for automation installations where a single line must carry multiple electrical functions between connected devices. Its combined layout reduces the number of separate cables routed through energy chains, articulated machinery, and other areas with limited space. The cable also provides fixed connector interfaces, which helps maintain consistent electrical connections within compatible Bosch Rexroth Indramat systems. Its flexible construction accommodates repetitive machine movement while protecting the enclosed conductors and shielding from excessive mechanical stress.
The cable has a flex life of 5 million bending cycles under the applicable dynamic routing conditions. During movement, the bend radius must not be smaller than 8 × D, where D represents the cable’s outside diameter. A stationary installation permits a minimum bend radius of 4 × D without placing excessive stress on the internal conductors. These bend limits should be maintained around carrier guides, clamps, and entry points to prevent sharp transitions in the cable path. The cable operates within a temperature range of -40 to 80 °C, supporting use in cold areas and near equipment that produces elevated ambient temperatures. Its hybrid construction places power and data elements inside one jacket while retaining the separation and shielding needed for their respective electrical functions.
The assembly uses the Basic cable model, which includes the standard conductor arrangement and shielding associated with this cable type. Its preassembled design avoids the need to solder individual contacts during installation and reduces the amount of cable-end preparation required before connection. Side A terminates with an RHS0019 connector, providing the designated interface for the corresponding device connection. Side B terminates with an RHS0020 connector, completing the cable assembly with a different mating interface at the opposite end. The factory-crimped terminations help maintain stable contact alignment and provide strain relief where the cable enters each connector body. When the cable is not in service, it may be stored at temperatures from -40 to 80 °C without exceeding its stated storage limits.
