This arrangement is useful in compact machine layouts and moving assemblies where available routing space is limited.
In dynamic cable tracks, the cable endures 5,000,000 flexing cycles. It has a basic design classification, indicating that it uses a standard jacket rather than a specialized coating. During motion, the cable requires a minimum bend radius of 8 × D, while fixed routing permits a tighter bend radius of 4 × D.
