The RKG4401 cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKG Encoder Cables series. It links rotary or linear encoders to Rexroth drive controllers, carrying feedback signals and auxiliary power in industrial automation axes. The assembly is designed for continuous flexing in drag-chain or robot applications, preserving data integrity for precise position control. By matching the company’s standard M23 feedback interface, the cable enables straightforward installation and quick replacement during commissioning or maintenance.
Mechanical endurance begins with a service life of 2,000,000 bending cycles, making the cable suitable for highly dynamic motion systems. A compact overall diameter of 8.8 mm accommodates the shielded signal core design specified as 4x(2x0.25 mm²) StC. During motion the manufacturer prescribes a dynamic bending radius of 10xD; for non-moving runs the minimum static bend is 6xD. The controller end is fitted with an M23, 12-Pin (Pin) connector that locks securely and resists vibration.
Two supply conductors sized at 2x1.0 mm² accompany the signal pairs to deliver encoder operating voltage.
