The RKG0036 is an encoder feedback cable from Bosch Rexroth Indramat’s RKG Encoder Cables series, intended to link motor-mounted sensing devices with drive controllers in automated machinery. It carries differential encoder signals and auxiliary supply conductors while remaining flexible enough for continuous motion along cable tracks and robotic axes.

Mechanical endurance is highlighted by 5,000,000 bending cycles, making the assembly suited to high-duty dynamic routing. For static routing the cable can be clamped to a minimum arc of 5xD, while continuously moving runs must respect a radius of 7.5xD to prevent conductor fatigue. A sheath diameter of 9.7 mm balances strength with compact routing and the copper cores may operate safely up to 80 C without insulation degradation. The conductors are extruded in INK0532 bulk cable, and its internal geometry separates servo feedback pairs from power supply pairs to limit crosstalk.

Signal integrity at the motor side is handled by a factory-moulded INS0379 (M23, 17-pin) connector, while the control-cabinet end terminates in a INS0760 (D-Sub, 15-pin) plug for direct connection to Indramat drives. A multilayer Total Shield (StC) surrounds the core bundle to suppress EMC emissions, and the outer jacket is formulated from PUR for abrasion, oil, and coolant resistance. Inside, three twisted-pair control circuits and three individual 0.25 mm² wires share space with a 4×1.0 mm² supply set, all color-coded beneath an orange RAL 2003 sheath for rapid identification.
