The RKG0034 is an encoder feedback cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKG Encoder Cables series. Supplied as a preterminated assembly, it links motor-mounted sensors to drive controllers so that position and velocity data reach the control loop without interference. By providing a stable communication path between the encoder and drive, the cable supports closed-loop motion sequences in pick-and-place modules, packaging machines, and other industrial automation cells where deterministic feedback is required.
It is delivered as a ready-made harness, eliminating field crimping and providing consistent impedance throughout the assembly. The cable follows the basic construction profile of the series, with a standard conductor cross section and shielding arrangement. The motor-side termination uses an INS0753 connector with a keyed shell that protects against incorrect alignment when the encoder is connected. A thermoplastic outer jacket made of PUR withstands exposure to oils and coolants while supporting repeated flexing in industrial equipment. At fixed routing points, the minimum allowable bend radius is 4 × D, allowing the cable to pass around compact corners without damaging its conductors. Full shielding continuity is maintained across the cable length to reduce the effect of electromagnetic interference on encoder signals.
During motion, the assembly requires a dynamic bend radius of at least 7.5 × D to preserve the insulation and internal conductor arrangement through repetitive movement. Its service life is rated for up to 5 million bending cycles, allowing the cable to operate inside drag chains used on frequently moving machine axes. The control-cabinet end is fitted with an INS0758 connector for direct connection to drive racks that use the corresponding interface. A highly visible orange sheath with an RAL 2003 color makes the cable easier to identify among other power, control, and feedback lines. Its drag-chain construction helps prevent lateral abrasion while maintaining the stable differential-pair impedance needed for accurate position and velocity feedback.
