The RKG0025 is an encoder feedback cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKG Encoder Cables series. It links high-resolution rotary or linear encoders to servo drives so that position data reach the control loop without interference, even while the axis is moving inside a drag-chain system. The cable is designed specifically for continuous-flexing energy-chain layouts found in automated machine tools, packaging stations, and material-handling gantries where precise signal integrity is required during fast, repeated motion.
Mechanical service life is defined by a test rating of 5 Million bending cycles, indicating suitability for long-term dynamic routing. During stationary routing, the cable may be clamped down to a minimum bend of 5xD, while moving applications need a larger radius of 7.5xD to prevent conductor fatigue. Overall outside diameter is controlled at 10.0 mm, allowing compact carrier fill ratios and standard strain-relief fittings. For gantry or transfer lines, the assembly can travel horizontally up to 50 m without supplementary junction boxes. A polyurethane outer jacket resists abrasion and oils, and its RAL 2003 orange color simplifies visual separation from power conductors inside shared chains.
Dynamic speed capability reaches 5 m/s, letting the cable follow rapid carriage strokes without torsional twist.
