The RKG0010 is an encoder feedback cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKG Encoder Cables series. It forms the physical link between a position transducer and a drive controller, carrying incremental or absolute signals as well as auxiliary supply conductors in industrial automation systems. By using a multi-core layout and matched connectors, the assembly ensures interference-resistant data transfer so that servo axes retain precise position information during continuous machine operation.
To withstand repetitive motion in cable chains, the assembly is rated for 5 million bending cycles. Its outer sheath measures 10.0 mm in diameter, providing enough wall thickness for abrasion resistance while remaining flexible. The internal layout follows a 3×0.25 + 3×(2×0.25)StC + 2×1.0 mm² composition, separating feedback, reference, and power conductors. Signal pairs made of 0.25 mm² copper exhibit a conductor resistance of 83.0 Ω/km, keeping voltage loss low on typical machine lengths. The control cores can carry up to 300 V AC for encoder supplies, and the PUR Matt jacket resists oil, coolant, and hydrolysis without halogens.
When installed in energy chains, the cable observes a minimum dynamic bending radius of 7.5 x D, allowing tight loops without exceeding copper strain.
