Product Description:
The RKB0036 is a pre-assembled control cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKB Control Cables series. It functions as a signal path between IndraDrive or IndraControl components and the system bus, so it supports coordinated motion and diagnostics inside an automated cell. The cable is supplied as a fixed-length harness that arrives terminated, eliminating field crimping and reducing setup time on modular machinery and conveyor installations.
This model is classified as a System Bus Cable and is delivered in a ready-made configuration, meaning each end already carries installed connectors. Both terminations use the proprietary IndraBus interface, so the conductor pairs match the impedance and shield continuity required by IndraDrive controllers. Mechanical durability is expressed by a service life of 5 million bending cycles, allowing continuous motion in cable tracks without signal loss. During dynamic movement, the jacket must never flex tighter than 7.5 × D of its outer diameter; this radius keeps conductor strands within their elastic range and helps prevent corkscrew deformation. The basic cable model uses standard PUR insulation and foil shielding to meet EMC limits for drive-level communication.
Once routed and clamped, the cable can stay in a stationary loop as long as the bend stays above 5 × D, preserving foil integrity during panel service work. Thermal ratings permit operation down to -30 °C and up to 80 °C, so the harness remains functional in chilled warehouses or warm control enclosures. Storage conditions are less demanding, with a maximum of 40 °C while the same -30 °C floor applies, which helps prevent embrittlement of the PUR sheath during storage. It can be used on gantries, pick-and-place axes, and index tables without additional protective conduits.
