Product Description:
The RKB0033 is a sensor-actuator control cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKB Control Cables series. It is supplied as a complete assembly that simplifies signal routing between distributed I/O blocks and field devices in automated machinery. This cable is intended for industrial automation systems where preassembled wiring harnesses reduce installation time and support consistent electrical performance across moving machine sections. Its factory-prepared format also reduces the amount of cutting, stripping, and contact preparation required during machine assembly.
The conductor bundle uses a twisted-pair arrangement that reduces electromagnetic coupling between adjacent signal lines. Under repetitive motion, the polyurethane jacket withstands up to 5,000,000 cycles before fatigue becomes critical. Dynamic routing requires a minimum bend radius of 7.5 × D, while fixed routing permits a tighter radius of 5 × D without overstressing the conductor strands. One end terminates in an M12 12-pin connector, providing a keyed and vibration-resistant connection to compatible sensor ports. The opposite end has pigtails for direct entry into a control panel or connection to a terminal block. The connector and flexible conductor arrangement support routing on servo axes, pick-and-place heads, modular conveyors, and other equipment with repeated movement. Adequate clearance around the moving section helps prevent excessive jacket abrasion and conductor strain.
The lower operating and storage temperature is -30 °C, allowing the cable to remain serviceable in chilled warehouses and unconditioned enclosures. During operation, the assembly can withstand temperatures up to 80 °C, while the maximum storage temperature is 40 °C. These temperature limits help protect the conductor insulation and polyurethane jacket from premature hardening or heat-related damage. The assembly is delivered as a ready-made harness in the Basic build level. It includes a cut-to-length cable, precrimped contacts, and molded strain relief, eliminating the need to prepare the connector end in the field. The pigtail end remains available for routing into the appropriate panel terminals according to the machine wiring layout.
