Product Description:
The RKB0008 is a ready-made industrial Ethernet control cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKB Control Cables series. It is supplied fully terminated so installers can interconnect drives, I/O blocks, or controllers without on-site crimping. Both ends carry straight RJ45 plugs, allowing quick connection to standard switch ports or drive interfaces along drag-chain routes. Within automated cells, the cable carries real-time motion or diagnostic traffic while surviving continuous mechanical movement caused by axis travel.
The conductor set is certified to CAT6+ performance requirements, so the twisted pairs support data streams up to 1 Gbit/s with low crosstalk. Each molded plug uses an industrial RJ45 design that locks into panel receptacles and maintains signal integrity under vibration. Cable life is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles when the installation respects the dynamic minimum bend radius of 7.5 × D. This radius limits pair deformation and preserves characteristic impedance during repeated movement. The polyurethane jacket is suitable for drag-chain use, so its outer sheath resists abrasion and maintains flexibility as carriers articulate thousands of times per shift. The straight connector orientation simplifies routing because the strain-relief boots exit in line with the cable axis and do not require additional clearance for right-angle housings.
During idle machine states, the cable can remain in place with a static bend radius of 5 × D, reducing space requirements inside compact cabinets. Signal reliability is maintained from -30 °C to 80 °C, covering conditions ranging from refrigerated warehouses to heated production enclosures. Storage temperatures range from -30 °C to 40 °C when the cable is kept in a stockroom. An internal wiring map assigns all 8 pins to differential pairs, with a separate shield for protection against electromagnetic interference. The straight-through wiring configuration follows common Ethernet pinouts and allows compatible switches to use automatic medium-dependent interface detection without crossover adapters.
