Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the RKB0007 as part of the RKB Control Cables series. The cable is factory-terminated and ready for installation in machine cabinets or drag-chain routes, where it connects drives, PLCs, and sensors to a common Ethernet backbone. Consistent impedance and shielding support deterministic motion-control traffic and help protect data integrity in automated cells. Its predefined length and molded strain reliefs reduce wiring variability while protecting the cable ends from repeated mechanical stress. The assembled design also eliminates the need to terminate individual conductors during installation.
The transmission medium meets the CAT6+ performance category, providing additional margin for alien crosstalk and return loss. It supports sustained data throughput of 1 Gbit/s over the declared segment length without repeaters. The insulation compounds are rated for 5,000,000 dynamic flex cycles, making the cable suitable for energy-chain motion. During operation, the jacket can flex to a dynamic radius of 7.5 × D. A fixed installation permits a tighter bend radius of 5 × D without degrading signal quality. A combined braid-and-foil shield maintains pair balance, while the drag-chain-compatible design limits torsional stress during repetitive movement on gantry or robotic assemblies.
Each end is fitted with an industrial RJ45 plug that connects to compatible panel jacks, controllers, drives, or managed switches. Each connector has 8 shielded contacts that provide protected paths for the cable’s Ethernet conductors. Network frames travel through Ethernet TCP/IP, allowing the assembly to connect standard network equipment with compatible Rexroth motion-control nodes. The cable uses a Crosslink configuration, in which the transmit and receive pairs are swapped internally. This arrangement permits direct communication between peer devices without requiring a separate crossover adapter. The assembly uses the Basic model designation and is supplied as an Ethernet cable variant for industrial control networks.
