The RH2-031DBB cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RH2 Encoder Cables series. It carries motor feedback signals and power conductors in a single sheath, allowing MS2 synchronous motors to connect to IndraDrive controllers without separate harnesses. In automated machinery, this assembly transmits encoder data and motor current simultaneously, reducing panel space and simplifying cable routing on moving axes.
This model is classified as a hybrid cable and uses the Basic cable design, with shielding and jacketing suited to standard Rexroth control cabinet layouts. Its copper conductors have a cross-sectional area of 1.5 mm², balancing current-carrying capacity with the flexibility needed for routing through energy chains. During motion, the minimum dynamic bending radius is 7.5 × D, which helps prevent excessive stress on the insulation as linear gantries operate repeatedly. The cable is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, supporting prolonged use in pick-and-place modules, palletizers, and other moving equipment. It interfaces directly with IndraDrive amplifiers, eliminating the need for breakout boards between the motor and drive. On the motor side, the harness mates with MS2x motors equipped with plug S through an M23 hybrid connector that combines power, encoder, and 24 V auxiliary lines. The field-installable connector supports assembly and connector service at the installation site without requiring a separate junction interface.
