The Bosch Rexroth Indramat RH2-021DBB is part of the RH2 Encoder Cables series and is designed as a basic hybrid cable with a PUR jacket and orange color. The RH2-021DBB is an encoder and power lead produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RH2 Encoder Cables series. Designed for second-generation IndraDrive and IndraDyn feedback systems, the assembly routes both encoder signals and motor supply conductors between the drive and the machine axis. Its hybrid construction reduces panel wiring, simplifies installation, and maintains reliable data transmission in industrial automation where synchronized position feedback is required for closed-loop motion control.
Electrical construction begins with a Basic cable design that integrates power cores and twisted shielded signal pairs inside a thermoplastic PUR jacket. The media is classified as Hybrid Cables, meaning drive voltage and encoder channels share one sheath yet remain electrically segregated through the cabling layout [4×L + (2×0.5 mm²)C + (4×AWG 24)]StC. Current-carrying conductors use a cross section of 1.5 mm² to balance ampacity and flexibility. For thermal endurance, the wire can operate up to 90 °C under fixed routing and up to 80 °C during continuous motion, allowing compatibility with cabinet or drag-chain environments common on packaging lines and machining centres.
Mechanical service life is supported by a torsional capability of ±30° per metre so the cable can follow rotating motors or robotic wrists. The outer sheath is coloured Orange (RAL 2003) for quick identification within the Rexroth Cables product group and measures 13.0 mm in diameter, providing adequate bend stiffness without exceeding common gland sizes.
