The Bosch Rexroth RD52.2-4B-003-L-A2-FW is a universal three-phase drive. It is designed for industrial motor control applications. A type label is attached to the drive and lists information including the type code, the firmware versions, and the input and output specifications. The type label helps to identify the features of the product when it is received. The type label also helps at the time of ordering of spares and accessories. Programming and control of the RD52.2-4B-003-L-A2-FW can be performed from an optional operator panel, a PC based software and other interfaces. The RS-232 / RS-485 serial interfaces on the drive logic board and other interfaces such as Profibus and CAN are available for parameter setting. The RD52.2-4B-003-L-A2-FW drive has a rated output of 3 kilowatts. The system is based on a converter with integrated brake chopper. The converter is rated for three-phase 380 to 480 Volts AC.

Operation at higher temperatures leads to output derating and can also cause device malfunction. The rate of output derating is 2.5% per K for temperatures lying between 40 and 50 degrees Celsius. Operation of the RD52.2-4B-003-L-A2-FW above 50 degrees Celsius is not permitted. Cooling method used by the RD52.2-4B-003-L-A2-FW is forced air cooling: the absolute minimum airflow requirement is 0.03 cubic meters per second.
