The company’s RD 500 drive system is designed for various synchronous and induction motors. It is a universal three-phase system with a modular setup that enhances flexibility for different kinds of applications as desired by users. Some of these applications include chemical and process technology, machine tools, food packaging machines, and hoist and conveyor technology.

The RD51.1-8N-007-L-V1-FW is a Bosch Rexroth inverter model in the RD 500 drive system. Its nominal connecting voltage is 700V DC with a ±10% allowance, and it has a power rating of 7kW. Its motion control technology is with the U/f curve control method, and its cooling method is with forced air cooling. It supports the use of a 24 V external standby power supply unit that allows it to be operated when the mainline supply voltage is disconnected. Operations that can be carried out with this standby power option include parameterization and writing of data sets and the continued operation of field buses. Firmware can be used with the device, but it must be ordered separately.
