The Bosch Rexroth RD51.1-4B-011-L-C1-FW is an advanced drive system for various synchronous and induction motors. The drive includes an AC converter with brake chopper rated for 380 to 480 Volts AC (three-phase). Output power of the drive is 11 kilowatts. The RD51.1-4B-011-L-C1-FW supports connection for RZC01.1-ZN and 24 Volts DC stand-by power. The drive supports forced-air cooling. Firmware for the drive system has to be ordered separately. A type label affixed to the drive lists essential information such as the type code and the input and output ratings. The type code should be examined at the time of equipment reception to ensure that the drive specifications comply with the customer requirements. To prevent feeding back of harmonics into the power supply, the drive converter includes interference suppression filters and line reactors.

Backup supply feature on the RD51.1-4B-011-L-C1-FW drive enables operation of drive electronics without line supply input. This features requires an external 24 Volts DC supply to provide the control voltages. This features allows parameterization of drive data sets and operation of field buses when the power supply is not available.  During startup the drive system performs a self-test during which the components including EEPROM and microprocessor are checked and data are read in from the power control board. Any warning occurring during this self-test is displayed on the operating display. The warning bit can also be output onto a digital input. The RD51.1-4B-011-L-C1-FW performs continuous monitoring of programmed limit values during operation. A drive shutdown occurs to prevent damage when a limit is exceeded and the fault message is shown on the display. The RD51.1-4B-011-L-C1-FW drive cannot be switched back on until the fault is acknowledged. This product can be shipped globally with a one year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
