The Bosch Rexroth RD52.1-7N-110-L-NN-FW is a universal drive controller. It is deployed for motor control in industrial and commercial applications. The RD52 series of controllers is widely deployed for applications that include chemical technology, process technology, machine tools, packing machines and foodstuff machines. Bosch only allows use and operation of the controller under specified mounting and installation conditions and under recommended ambient conditions. Use of the controller for applications other than those specified and described in the product documentation is considered improper and must be avoided. The RD52.1-7N-110-L-NN-FW controller is based on an inverter. This inverter operates at DC voltages ranging from 530 to 670 Volts DC. The drive inverter does not feature a built-in brake chopper. At 4 kilohertz pulse, the RD52.1-7N-110-L-NN-FW can be used with motors rated for 110 kilowatts.
At 6 kilohertz pulse, the RD52.1-7N-110-L-NN-FW can be used with motors rated for 90 kilowatts. The controller is available in an IP20 rated enclosure that does not provide moisture ingress protection. The recommended ambient conditions for operation include 0 to 40 degrees Celsius temperature and 0 to 1000 meters altitude. Proper heat dissipation requires the use of fans or blowers to force air across the heated controller body. The minimum air flow required for cooling is 0.4 m3/s.
