The Bosch Rexroth RD52.1-7N-015-L-NN-FW is an inverter based drive controller. The drive inverter operates at 530 to 670 Volts DC. Nominal power output of the controller is 15 kilowatts. Several optional functions are available for RD52 drives that have to be specified at the time of equipment ordering. However the RD52.1-7N-015-L-NN-FW does not include additional features. The firmware for RD52 drives has to be ordered separately from the hardware. The reason for this is that Bosch offers firmware that support different feature sets. The RD52.1-7N-015-L-NN-FW can be operated at four different pulse frequencies. The drive output parameters vary with the pulse frequency that is used. At 4 kilohertz, the rated motor output is 15 kilowatts and the rated current is 30 Amps. At 8 kilohertz, the rated motor output is 11 kilowatts and the rated current is 25 Amps.
At 12 kilohertz the rated current is 18 Amps. The RD52.1-7N-015-L-NN-FW uses forced air cooling for heat dissipation. The minimum cooling air requirement specified by Bosch is 0.05 m3/s. RD52 drives with other cooling options such as heat dissipation panel and plug-through cooler are also available. Size class of the RD52.1-7N-015-L-NN-FW is B and it weighs approximately 11.3 kilograms. The enclosure of the drive is IP20 rated according to EN 60529 with connected plug. The environmental class to which the drive belongs is 3K3. Bosch has recommended 0 to 40 degrees Celsius ambient temperature range.
