The Bosch Rexroth RD52.1-5B-018-L-V1-FW is an air cooled universal drive. It requires 0 to 40 degrees Celsius ambient temperature for optimal performance. To ensure that the ambient temperature remains within recommended limits, Bosch has recommended that a minimum continuous airflow of 0.05 cubic meters must be ensured. If this rate of airflow is not available, then the ambient temperature will exceed permitted limits, causing the internal temperature of the drive to cross dangerous levels. If the RD52.1-5B-018-L-V1-FW is operated outside allowed ambient conditions then it could suffer damage.
