The RD52.1-4N-003-D-NN-FW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RD 500 Drive Controllers series. This controller accepts a supply delivered through a Converter 3 x AC connection and is designed for grids within the 380 to 480 V range. Inside, a mains filter is already fitted, so no external line reactor is required to meet conducted-emission limits. Vector regulation is executed with field oriented vector control, allowing precise stator current alignment and constant torque production across the speed range. When thermal loads rise, a plug-through cooler (≤ 110 kW) carries switching heat directly out of the enclosure, helping keep the internal electronics below their derating threshold. Continuous output is limited to 3.0 kW, a rating suited to medium-frame induction or synchronous motors used on pumps, packaging axes, or material feeders. Power ride-through or rapid deceleration energy is not handled internally because the unit is shipped without built-in brake chopper, so an external resistor module is required when dynamic braking is needed. Line-side tolerance of ±10 % allows the converter to maintain regulation during typical plant voltage swings. The integrated mains filter helps limit switching noise on the line side during normal operation.
