The RD52.1-4B-037-D-NN-FW is a drive controller from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the RD 500 Drive Controllers series. In industrial automation, it sits between the incoming line supply and an AC motor to regulate speed and torque in response to process demand. This arrangement supports stable closed-loop motor operation in equipment such as pumps, fans, conveyors, and other production machinery where repeatable speed control is required.
The controller supplies up to 37 kW of motor power, making it suitable for medium-duty drive applications. Speed and torque are regulated with field oriented vector control, which keeps motor current aligned with the rotor field for accurate dynamic response. Thermal loading is managed by a plug-through cooler for ratings up to 110 kW, which moves heat out of the cabinet and helps protect the electronics during continuous operation. Power quality on the drive side is supported by an integrated mains filter that reduces conducted interference without requiring external filter components. The power section accepts line voltages from 380 to 480 V, covering common industrial supply levels, and the unit is part of design generation 1 in the RD52 platform.
The RD52.1 variant is configured as a three-phase AC converter, so it rectifies incoming power and inverts it to a variable-frequency output within the same housing.
