The Bosch Rexroth RD52.1-4B-015-P-V1-FW is a converter-based drive. The drive converter includes a brake chopper. The RD52.1-4B-015-P-V1-FW is compatible with 3-phase AC mains operating at 380 to 480 Volts AC. The drive converter includes a built-in brake chopper. The output of the drive is rated for 15 kilowatts under ideal operating conditions. The operating conditions recommended by Bosch include 0 to 40 degrees Celsius ambient temperature and 0 to 1000 meters altitude. The drive output derates by 30% at 55 degrees Celsius. The utilization of the drive must be reduced at altitudes above 1000 meters. The drive output derates by approximately 17% at 2000 meters altitude. Operation of the drive above 2000 meters is not allowed. The RD52.1-4B-015-P-V1-FW is fitted with a heat dissipation panel. Proper ventilation should be ensured by removing any obstacles that prevent smooth flow of air.
The firmware for the RD52.1-4B-015-P-V1-FW has to be ordered separately from the hardware. The reason behind this is that Bosch develops and provides firmware that support different feature sets. Therefore the firmware with the feature set that suits your particular applications has to be ordered.
