The Bosch RD52.1-4B-004-L-V1-FW is a 4 kilowatts rated drive controller. It is primarily designed for connection to three-phase AC mains that operate at 380 to 480 Volts AC. The drive can also be used with three-phase AC mains that operate at 200 to 230 volts AC. However in this case the output derates by 50%. The RD52.1-4B-004-L-V1-FW is based on a converter with built-in brake chopper. DC inverter based RD52 drive converters are also available and can be ordered if required. The drive can be operated at multiple pulse frequencies including 4 kilohertz, 8 kilohertz and 12 kilohertz. The rated motor output, rated current, peak current and output all vary with the pulse frequency used. The RD52.1-4B-004-L-V1-FW drive relies on forced air cooling for dissipation of heat generated during normal operation.
The recommended ambient conditions for drive operation include 0 to 40 degrees Celsius temperature, 0 to 1000 meters altitude and relative non-condensing humidity of up to 90%. The air in the operating environment should be free of dust and corrosive gases. Air filters must be used for cleaning dust-laden air. The controller housing is IP20 rated and does not provide protection against dust or moisture ingress. The maximum permitted installation site temperature is 55 degrees Celsius. The maximum permitted installation site elevation is 2000 meters. Suitable inter-device spacing should be provided to prevent increase in ambient temperature. Unused RD52 drive should be kept in a clean and dry area with -25 to 70 degrees Celsius ambient temperature. The controller includes integrated support for the 24 Volts standby power feature. Height of the RD52.1-4B-004-L-V1-FW controller is 440 millimeters and its width is 90 millimeters.
