As a closed-loop power electronics module, it interfaces between a three-phase supply and an AC motor to manage speed, torque, and dynamic braking in automated machinery. In production lines, packaging cells, or material-handling stations, the unit supplies regulated voltage and current so the connected motor can follow motion profiles from a higher-level PLC. This arrangement allows the drive to correct load-related speed error and maintain predictable motor response during acceleration, steady running, and braking.
The power section is designed for a 380 to 480 V network and operates as a Converter 3 x AC, so the rectifier and intermediate DC link are integrated for direct line connection. Input fluctuations of ±10 % are permitted without shutdown, which helps the drive remain stable on industrial power systems with modest voltage variation. A built-in brake chopper handles excess DC link energy during rapid deceleration by routing it to an external resistor.
