The Bosch RD51.1-7N-022-L-NN-FW is a 22 kilowatts rated universal drive controller that relies on forced air cooling for heat dissipation. The housing of the controller belongs to the IP20 protection category. This protection category does not provide any protection against ingress of liquid contaminants. For improved environmental protection, the drive controller has to be mounted inside a suitable control cabinet. The RD51.1-7N-022-L-NN-FW is designed for 0 to 40 degrees Celsius ambient temperature. Higher ambient temperatures cause the output of the drive to derate. Forced air cooling relies on fans and blowers for increasing air flow across the surface of the heated controller. The minimum air flow rated specified by Bosch for proper cooling of the drive is 0.1 cubic meters per second. The approximate shipping weight of the drive controller is 22 kilograms.
