It manages three-phase induction motors in automated conveyors, mixers, and general machinery by adjusting power flow between the plant supply and the motor terminals. Deployed in switchgear cabinets, the unit supplies regulated voltage and implements drive-level protection so higher-level PLCs can call precise speed or torque references without handling raw mains energy.

Motor excitation is based on a U/f curve control algorithm that keeps the magnetic flux nearly constant across the speed range. The input stage uses a 3 x AC converter topology that connects to industrial networks in the 500 V class. When loaded to its thermal limit, the controller delivers 75 kW of shaft power to the connected motor.
